 The News 2 staff had an unlikely visitor, a red-tailed hawk, with an injured wing, was found in the loading dock area. The Center for Birds of Prey were called and the bird was captured and taken to their hospital.

The Center determined that the red tailed hawk had a fractured wing and they performed surgery. The hawk is in physical therapy and will be released once the center determines that it is able to survive back in the wild.

The Center for Birds of Prey is a non-profit organization located in Awendaw that specializes in recovery and rehabilitation of injured hawks, falcons, eagles, vultures, kites and owls. They have been rescuing birds of prey since 1991.
