Walmart shoppers losing it over discounted smart phones!
Email from listener Mark:
I went out to shop on Thursday night. I went to Wal-Mart in Summerville. I am typically anti-Wal-Mart, but ventured out due to a deal on my children’s trampoline for Christmas. I decided to stand back and watch a brawl over a fire pit that was $38 off. A man reached out and grabbed a fire pit a woman bit the man who had the fire pit in his hand. Sad that Christmas shopping has come to situations like this.
Announcements were made that prohibited video taking of the incidents. Patrons were told if they were caught taking video they would be asked to leave.
I have always avoided this type of event. Wal-Mart does a decent job of handing out tickets for the big items and creates a line and items are picked up outside after they are paid for. The danger is in the shrink wrapped items where people fight over a $5 movie. I have a secret to tell. I went to Sears and came back at 1 after all the chaos had died down. There were buggies full of the crap people were fighting over. People after fighting for the crap decided to drop it on another spot because they were not that good of a deal.
I saved over $100 on my trampoline and saved $1400 on my new washer and dryer. So, over all it was worth the time and effort. But, I would have rather not fought the crowds and saved on Monday, but hard to pass up the incredible savings.
Thanks for all you do. I love the show every day. Keep up the good work.
