Strong thunderstorms led to several areas of localized flooding and caused numerous traffic lights to switch to flashing status.

As of this report, City of Charleston Traffic &Transportation has been summoned to address flashing traffic lights at the following locations:

Courtenay Street & Bee Street
Courtenay Street & Cannon Street
Sam Rittenberg Blvd. & Ashley Hall Road
Folly Road & Albemarle Road
Ashley River Road & Parsonage Road
Savannah Highway & Dupont Road

Paul Cantrell Boulevard & I-526

Riverland Drive & Maybank Highway

Charleston County Sheriff's Office has reopened Folly Road at Maybank Highway. The only remaining road closure in the City is the last one-way section of westbound I-526 between Sam Rittenberg Road and Savannah Highway, which is closed due to standing water. The right turn lane of westbound I-526 onto Sam Rittenberg Road is also closed while water recedes. SCDOT officials are on scene trying to fix the drainage issues.
