Charleston Air Expo Canceled

One of Charleston's largest military air shows, The Charleston Air Expo has been canceled due to none other than coronavirus. There are currently no plans to reschedule the show which was going to take place April 18-19 and refunds will be issued to anyone who purchased upgraded seating packages. The Navy's Blue Angels, the high octane performance flight group was scheduled to perform but no longer can. As of today, this is the last of cancelations throughout Charleston, although I'm sure there are only more to come. A statement was released:

"While we regret this missed opportunity to showcase our mission and capabilities to the Lowcountry, this decision was made with the safety of our community in mind and is in alignment with our mission to preserve the health and wellness of our Joint Base Charleston team."
