Hurricane Watches Issued for Coastal Georgia and parts South Carolina Coast

As of 5p on Monday, the National Weather Services has extended the Hurricane watches from Florida all the way up through Charleston county on the South Carolina coast. This includes the entire Georgia coast.

Hurricane Watches mean that hurricane conditions are possible within the watch area. A watch is typically issued 48 hours before the anticipated first occurrence of tropical storm force winds... these conditions make outside preparations difficult or dangerous.
