SC's Trooper Bob to Retire from Highway Patrol in November

COLUMBIA, SC (WSCC) - After 24 years serving the state of South Carolina, Trooper Bob will be retiring from the South Carolina Highway Patrol. 

Lt. Bob Beres, known better as Trooper Bob, said "Thank you for allowing me to serve you, the citizens of South Carolina, for 29 years (Navy+Law Enforcement). Friday, Nov 30, 2018 will be my last day with the S.C. Highway Patrol. Please continue to support the men and women in uniform! God bless" in a social media post on Monday.

Trooper Bob is a spokesperson for the South Carolina Highway Patrol. His innovative ways of using social media for his job earned him an Emmy Award this year. 

Beres is ready for a new adventure in his life without a uniform. His last day on patrol will be Friday November 30th.
