CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
The National Weather Service says a cluster of thunderstorms could prompt flooding in the Tri-County Friday morning.
A flash flood watch is in effect for Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties from 4 a.m. Friday through the morning.

Storms are forecast to develop along the South Carolina coast during the pre-dawn hours Friday. These thunderstorms are expected to expand across Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties through the early daylight hours on Friday.
"It's going to be during commute time," Meteorologist Stephanie Sine said. "We expect downtown Charleston to be affected."
By late morning, the storms should push inland. These slow-moving storms will be capable of torrential downpours, forecasters say.
Average rainfall may range between 1.5 to 2.5 inches, with isolated amounts as high as 5 inches are possible.
